Our client is an EU wide logistics company. We helped them develop a product for truck drivers. Our experience with gamification and sustainability was a key factor in delivering the solution.<\/p>\n
The high cost of fuel has been pointed out in logistics for years. This represents a substantial part of the operational costs. Despite this attention and many technological innovations in trucks, fuel consumption is not falling enough to achieve climate goals.<\/p>\n
Through this product, the logistics company gives customers the opportunity to reinforce the call for lower fuel consumption by rewarding drivers for sustainable driving behavior. The product has been developed on TomTom in collaboration with us for this purpose. This TomTom provides direct insight into the score of your own driving behavior.<\/p>\n
The project required that the solution be developed with Android. This was no problem for us since we had the experience of developing apps for years before that.<\/p>\n
Making sustainable driving behavior measurable and easy enables fuel savings of 20%. Moreover: Proud truck drivers could outdo each other fact-based.<\/p>\n
The final product was awarded in the \u201cLogistics of the year award\u201d for Sustainability and Environment in November 2019.<\/p>\n
